About me
I'm Joshua Statie, an Amsterdam-based photographer and videographer specialising in corporate events, conferences, trade shows and brand activations. Born in Miami and raised on the island of Bonaire, I've been based in Amsterdam for over five years, building a reputation for delivering high-impact visual content for some of the world's most recognised brands.
Photography found me early, sparked by curiosity with my mother's camera. My first real break came photographing weddings, long and high-pressure days that trained me to anticipate moments before they appeared. Those years sharpened my eye and led me to where I truly belong: the fast energy of conferences, product launches and brand activations. That environment revealed my niche and I've never looked back.
Today my work is driven by a love for preserving the fleeting instants that define a story. Whether it is the adrenaline of a product reveal, the atmosphere of a large-scale international conference, or the quiet confidence in a corporate portrait, I frame each scene with precision and a sensitive eye for detail.
Over the years I have had the privilege of working with internationally recognised brands including Netflix, Adidas, Audi, Lenovo, Oracle, Cartier, ServiceNow, Prosus and KPN, among others. These collaborations have taken me across the globe, from Amsterdam to San Francisco, New York, London, Barcelona, Düsseldorf, Brussels, Norway, Curaçao and beyond.
I normally operate as a one-person creative, giving clients direct access to the person behind the lens. When a larger event demands multiple shooters or combined photo and video coverage, I draw on a trusted network of specialists and manage the entire crew myself, ensuring every angle is covered and every deliverable meets the same standard.
